We team with queens of experimental film, HIBALL for new MV
For our new single Skipping Girl, we teamed up with Melbourne’s new queens of experimental film, HIBALL for a music video.
We loved that they wanted to contrast the sweet harmonies, lush synths and swirling guitar with some eerie undertones and a highly-stylized aesthetic, which we think brings the song to life in a whole new light!
The video draws on the surreal work of American photographer, Gregory Crewdson and the emotive films of Celia Rowlson-Hall, exploring the song’s core subjects in a series of surreal contrasting moments that touch on the complexities of home, family, love, tension, and memory.
